Menopause, Mid-life Crisis or Spiritual Awakening

Menopause is supposed to be for women and mid-life crises are supposed to be for men, but I think all of us get a touch of both.

Menopause starts with puberty, peri-menopause, post-menopause and so on, but honestly, it’s a pretty crazy, confusing time. The hot flashes, the mood swings, the indecision, and the straight-up anger!

What do you do with all of that?

My journey started with a meditation series and a whole lot of vitamin D!

I was thinking the other day, maybe that time (a good 4-5 years) was exactly what I needed to have my spiritual breakthrough. Those days when I was SO angry and I had no idea why … maybe all that anger drove me to find some enlightenment!

AH HAH (as Oprah would say)!

Maybe we all have to go through the menopause, the mid-life crisis to GET to the spiritual awakening.

I remember feeling like I was breaking apart into a million little pieces.

I was searching for the reasons why.

I wanted to know what my value was in the world.

Where I belonged.

Where I was supposed to be.

What gifts I was supposed to be giving.

Maybe it was hormones, maybe it was self-doubt, maybe it was turning 50 …

BUT,

MAYBE, just maybe, it’s all part of God’s plan to challenge us to find our spiritual selves. To say, “Hey, I’m going to throw you this HUGE curveball and see what you do with it.”

Truth is, what doesn’t kill you eventually makes you stronger, but you can’t always see what that strength is or what it will become in the moments.

I challenge you today to look at your situation whether it be menopause, a mid-life crisis or any other struggle you’re going through and ask…

“What am I to learn from this today?”

Just today.

Today, I was challenged to write all of this down and find the strength through the storm – what about you?

The Very Big Dynamic Dream

This dream that won’t stop and keeps me thinking of its meaning. In a world that seems so huge but in reality, is so small, we’re always looking for meaning.  Ultimately, we all belong to each other ~ our frequencies all merge together and create this vast space for...

What Happens When a Friend Leaves the Physical World

Since starting my spiritual journey several years ago, I’ve handled the news of this death differently than before my spiritual journey. I always feel most in tune with the universe when I’m outdoors. When I’m out exercising is when I meditate, pray and find my...

C L O U D Y

Today on my morning run it was cloudy … it’s been cloudy forEVER EVER. Where I live, we’ve been dealing with no sun, just clouds … and it’s been COLD, like really cold (we are not doing well over here … trust me)! As I’m running, I’m thinking, could there be meaning...

How the Death of a Friend Changed Me

Recently, I had a close friend, from a long time ago die, right before Christmas. It was shocking to me and I didn’t know how to process it. I didn’t know what to do with it. Other things in life came up that needed my mental attention, so I put off "dealing" with it...
